                         CONCURRENT RESOLUTION


 
 Authorizing the use of the rotunda of the Capitol to allow Members of 
 Congress to greet and receive His All Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew.

    Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives concurring), 
That the rotunda of the Capitol is authorized to be used on October 21, 
1997, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, for a ceremony to allow Members of 
Congress to greet and receive His All Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew,
the 270th Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. Physical preparations 
for the conduct of the ceremony shall be carried out in accordance with 
such conditions as may be prescribed by the Architect of the Capitol.
