 Mr. Moran of Kansas introduced the following bill; which was referred 
         to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure

                                 A BILL


 
 To amend the National Highway System Designation Act of 1995 relating 
  to the maximum hours of service for operators of ground water well 
                             drilling rigs.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 345 (a)(2) 
of the National Highway System Designation Act of 1995 (49 U.S.C. 31136 
note; 109 stat 613) is amended by adding at the end the following: 
``Except as required in section 395.3 of title 49 of the Code of 
Federal Regulations, as in effect on the date of enactment of this Act, 
no additional off duty time shall be required in order to operate such 
vehicle.''.
