subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration
of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee
concerned

A BILL
To remove a restriction on the authority of the Secretary of
Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior to enter into agreements
with any Federal agency to acquire goods and services directly related
to improving or using the wildfire fighting capability of those
agencies.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Wildfire Response Enhancement
Act''.
SEC. 2. ACQUISITION OF GOODS AND SERVICES RELATED TO FIGHTING
WILDFIRES.
The Secretary of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior may
place an order with any Federal agency for goods or services directly
related to fighting wildfires without regard to the restriction
contained in section 1535(a)(4) of title 31, United States Code, if the
Secretary placing the order determines that the goods or services are
necessary to properly respond to a wildfire in a timely and effective
manner.
