                                 A BILL


 
  To amend the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act to provide an 
additional function of the Administrator for Federal Procurement Policy 
   relating to encouraging Federal procurement policies that enhance 
                           energy efficiency.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF OFFICE OF FEDERAL PROCUREMENT POLICY ACT.

    Section 6 of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 
U.S.C. 405) is amended--
            (1) by striking ``and'' at the end of paragraph (12);
            (2) by striking the period at the end of paragraph (13) and 
        inserting ``and''; and
            (3) by adding at the end the following new paragraph:
            ``(14) encouraging Federal procurement policies that 
        enhance the energy efficiency of the Federal Government and 
        decrease the Government's dependency on non-renewable energy 
        resources.''.
