Mr. Doolittle introduced the following bill; which was referred to the 
                    Committee on Energy and Commerce

   To delay the effective date of certain provisions relating to the 
                          labeling of ginseng.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Ginseng Labeling Correction Act''.

SEC. 2. DELAYED EFFECTIVE DATE REGARDING GINSENG LABELING.

    Section 403(u) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 
U.S.C. 343(u); 116 Stat. 526), and section 10806(b)(1) of the Farm 
Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (21 U.S.C. 321d; 116 Stat. 
526), are each deemed to have first become effective 30 days after the 
date of the enactment of this Act.
