Mr. Evans (for himself, Mr. Mascara, and Mr. Gutierrez) introduced the 
   following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Veterans'

                                 A BILL


 
 To amend title 38, United States Code, to add Diabetes Mellitus (Type 
    2) to the list of diseases presumed to be service-connected for 
             veterans exposed to certain herbicide agents.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. PRESUMPTION THAT DIABETES MELLITUS (TYPE 2) IS SERVICE-
              CONNECTED.

    Section 1116(a)(2) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by 
adding at the end the following new subparagraph:
            ``(H) Diabetes Mellitus (Type 2).''.
