 Mr. Knollenberg introduced the following bill; which was referred to

To amend the United States Enrichment Corporation Privatization Act to 
           prevent the untimely sale of uranium hexaflouride.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. URANIUM SALES.

    Section 3112(b)(2) of the United States Enrichment Corporation 
Privatization Act (42 U.S.C. 2297h-10(b)(2)) is amended--
            (1) in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking 
        ``Within 7 years of the date of enactment of this Act, the'' 
        and inserting ``The'';
            (2) by striking subparagraph (A);
            (3) in subparagraph (D)--
                    (A) by striking ``2001'' and inserting ``2006''; 
                and
                    (B) by striking ``2002'' and inserting ``2007''; 
                and
            (4) by redesignating subparagraphs (B), (C), and (D) (as so 
        amended) as subparagraphs (A), (B), and (C), respectively.
