     Mr. Goss, from the Committee on Rules, reported the following 
resolution; which was referred to the House Calendar and ordered to be 
                                printed

                               RESOLUTION


 
    Waiving a requirement of clause 4(b) of rule XI with respect to 
  consideration of certain resolutions reported from the Committee on 
                                 Rules.

    Resolved, That the requirement of clause 4(b) of rule XI for a two-
thirds vote to consider a report from the Committee on Rules on the 
same day it is presented to the House is waived with respect to any 
resolution reported before June 14, 1997, providing for consideration 
of a bill introduced by the chairman of the Committee on Appropriations 
that includes provisions making supplemental appropriations for the 
fiscal year ending September 30, 1997.
