Expressing the condolences of the House of Representatives on the death 
 of the Honorable Paul Coverdell, a Senator from the State of Georgia.



                             July 19, 2000

  Mr. Lewis of Georgia submitted the following resolution; which was 
                        considered and agreed to



Expressing the condolences of the House of Representatives on the death 
 of the Honorable Paul Coverdell, a Senator from the State of Georgia.

    Resolved, That the House has heard with profound sorrow of the 
death of the Honorable Paul Coverdell, a Senator from the State of 
    Resolved, That the Clerk communicate these resolutions to the 
Senate and transmit a copy thereof to the family of the deceased.
    Resolved, That a committee be appointed on the part of the House to 
join a committee appointed on the part of the Senate to attend the 
    Resolved, That when the House adjourns today, it adjourn as a 
further mark of respect to the memory of the deceased Senator.
