 To amend title 38, United States Code, to expand the list of diseases 
  presumed to be service connected with respect to radiation-exposed 
                               veterans.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

<DELETED>SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.</DELETED>

<DELETED>    This Act may be cited as the ``Justice for Atomic Veterans 
Act of 1997''.</DELETED>

<DELETED>SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF LIST OF DISEASES PRESUMED TO BE SERVICE 
              CONNECTED FOR RADIATION-EXPOSED VETERANS.</DELETED>

<DELETED>    Section 1112(c)(2) of title 38, United States Code, is 
amended by adding at the end the following:</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(P) Lung cancer.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(Q) Bone cancer.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(R) Skin cancer.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(S) Colon cancer.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(T) Posterior subcapsular cataracts.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(U) Non-malignant thyroid nodular 
        disease.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(V) Ovarian cancer.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(W) Parathyroid adenoma.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(X) Tumors of the brain and central nervous 
        system.</DELETED>
        <DELETED>    ``(Y) Rectal cancer.''.</DELETED>

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Justice for Atomic Veterans Act of 
1998''.

SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF LIST OF DISEASES PRESUMED TO BE SERVICE CONNECTED 
              FOR RADIATION-EXPOSED VETERANS.

    Section 1112(c)(2) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by 
adding at the end the following:
            ``(P) Lung cancer.
            ``(Q) Ovarian cancer.
            ``(R) Tumors of the brain and central nervous system.''.
