   To designate a portion of the Red River in Louisiana as the ``J. 
          Bennett Johnston Waterway'', and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. DESIGNATION OF J. BENNETT JOHNSTON WATERWAY.

    The portion of the Red River, Louisiana, from new river mile 0 to 
new river mile 235 shall be known and designated as the ``J. Bennett 
Johnston Waterway''.

SEC. 2. REFERENCES.

    Any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other 
record of the United States to the portion of the Red River described 
in section 1 shall be deemed to be a reference to the ``J. Bennett 
Johnston Waterway''.
