AN ACT
To authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2001 for military
construction, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Military Construction Authorization
Act for Fiscal Year 2001''.

For purposes of this Act, the term ``congressional defense
committees'' means--
(1) the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on
Appropriations of the Senate; and
(2) the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on
Appropriations of the House of Representatives.

SEC. 2101. AUTHORIZED ARMY CONSTRUCTION AND LAND ACQUISITION PROJECTS.
(a) Inside the United States.--Using amounts appropriated pursuant
to the authorization of appropriations in section 2104(a)(1), the
Secretary of the Army may acquire real property and carry out military
construction projects for the installations and locations inside the
United States, and in the amounts, set forth in the following table:
