 To designate the calendar decade beginning on January 1, 2001, as the 
                ``Decade of Pain Control and Research''.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. DECADE OF PAIN CONTROL AND RESEARCH.

    The calendar decade beginning January 1, 2001, is designated as the 
``Decade of Pain Control and Research''.
