                                 AN ACT


 
To amend the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to reauthorize the Overseas 
                    Private Investment Corporation.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. EXTENSION OF OPIC AUTHORITIES.

    Section 235(a)(2) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. 
2195(a)(2)) is amended by striking ``1999'' and inserting ``2003''.

            Passed the Senate November 3, 1999.
